A shallow well can supply clean water for 800 community members
It costs KWDT £1125 or £1.40 per head
Communal shallow wells benefit 11,742 people
Deep pit latrines are essential for the health of school pupils and local people and are provided by KWDT
Costs vary according to the size of the project but on "loo" cost £170
Communal latrines at Lake Victoria benefit 880 people
8 School latrines benefit 2,578 pupils
