A cow costs £575 and can  benefit not only the lady owner and her family but the whole community.  It gives milk for her children to drink and the excess to sell, dung to fertilise her back-yard agriculture producing fresh vegetables, calves to support another lady or sell on and most importantly, she gains status within her community and has a voice!

There are 500 ladies waiting for a cow - give them a hand up, not a hand out!
